About us
our story
Rooted in the Word, Empowered by the Spirit
At INE, we believe discipleship is at the heart of everything. We exist to train and raise believers who not only know the Word of God but also live it out daily — founded on the Word of God and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Our calling is to make disciples who are Spirit-empowered, passionate in worship, bold in evangelism, and fully surrendered to the Lord.
We believe in the power of the resurrected Christ who lives in us through His Holy Spirit. His presence brings supernatural healing, renewal, and strength for every season of life. Through worship and obedience, we align ourselves with His will and walk in the authority He has given us. God established this church in 1999 in the city of Raleigh, North Carolina, beginning with His presence and Pastors Luis and Marlene Rivas, who were willing to receive divine instructions so this church could come into existence.
This is a place where you will be equipped, encouraged, and empowered to grow in your faith. Together, we are building lives that reflect Christ and extend His Kingdom. Our foundation began with the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18–20 and the Great Commandment in Mark 12:30–31. From that starting point, God Himself has led us into steady growth—bringing us to what we see today and giving us great expectations for where He is leading us next.

Our Creed
Discover our perspective on God, Jesus, the Bible, humanity, and our faith.
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and unchanging Word of God, from Genesis to Revelation.
(2 Timothy 3:16)
We believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit — and that the three are one. (1 John 5:7)
We believe salvation comes through repentance and the confession of sins. It is given by divine grace (not by works) and received through faith in Christ Jesus. He is the only mediator between God and mankind. (Acts 4:12)
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God, born of a virgin; that He was crucified, died, and rose again on the third day; He ascended into heaven and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father.
(Isaiah 7:14, Luke 1:30–35)
We believe in the second coming of Christ for His people — the dead in Christ will rise first, and those who are alive will be caught up by Jesus. Everyone will stand before God’s judgment. Those whose names are written in the Book of Life will rise to eternal life; those who are not will face eternal condemnation.
(1 Thessalonians 4:13–17, Revelation 20:11–15)
We believe sanctification is a work done instantly in the spirit, but must also be developed progressively in the soul and body of a child of God.
(Hebrews 12:14, Romans 6:19–22)
We believe in baptism into the Body of Christ, through which a person accepts Jesus, is born again, and becomes part of the body of Christ and His eternal life.
We believe in water baptism as a symbol of identification with the death (to sin) and resurrection of Jesus into eternal life. (Romans 6:4)
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues, and that through this baptism, believers receive the power to be witnesses of Jesus to the world.
(Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4, Mark 16:17)
We believe this is one of the ways to transmit blessing, healing, and the power of God from one person to another.
(Acts 8:15–20, 1 Timothy 4:14, 2 Timothy 1:6)
We believe in the five ministries of Ephesians 4:11 as gifts from God to the Body of Christ.
(Ephesians 4:11)
We believe the apostle and prophet are governmental ministries that establish the biblical foundation and doctrine of the church. (Ephesians 3:5)
We believe in establishing apostolic government in the local church, with an apostle as the head, a prophet as part of the leadership, along with ministers and elders. (Ephesians 4:11, Acts 14:23)
We believe in the Kingdom of God as a government, and in the person of Jesus as King — two absolute and supreme truths. (Acts 8:12)
We believe in the Kingdom’s power to heal the sick, cast out demons, and perform miracles, wonders, signs, and great acts. (Matthew 12:28)
We believe that without faith, it is impossible to live a life pleasing to God — and that through faith, we inherit the promises. (Hebrews 11:6)
We believe in expanding the Gospel of the Kingdom locally, nationally, and globally — by every available means. (Matthew 24:14)
Our Values
Here are the core values that define and guide El Rey Jesús International Ministry:
We love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. He is the priority of our love, obedience, and worship—above all things. If you take God out, you take life itself away. (Luke 10:27)
Family is a foundational principle in the Kingdom of God. The union of marriage between a man and a woman is God’s will and keeps society free from immorality. If the family is lost, the foundation of society is lost. That’s why we protect and honor marriage—until death do us part. (Genesis 1:27)
Every statement, every word, and every command written in the Bible is law to us, and we are committed to following it. (Proverbs 3:3; 2 Timothy 3:16)
It is God’s desire that we prosper in all things. That’s why it is our value to constantly strive for growth—maturing, progressing, and reaching higher levels of education, faith, vision, glory, and blessing. Jesus died and paid a high price to redeem us from poverty and ignorance.
(3 John 1:1–2)
God is a generational God—the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. As parents, we carry the grace and ability to impart to our natural and spiritual children everything we’ve attained: a material, emotional, and spiritual inheritance. We are responsible for leaving a legacy in all these areas. (Genesis 50:24; Mark 12:26)
Every human being was created by God with a purpose. When that purpose is discovered and developed, a legacy is left. Only then can we say that a person lived a successful life. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
The goal of every man and woman on this earth should be to grow in the character of Christ each day. That means being filled with goodness, integrity, humility, the fear of God, holiness, and maturity—just as He was. Jesus is our model, whom we imitate, honor, glorify, worship, and follow until He returns. (Romans 8:29)
